Description:

In this seminar, Dr. Hogan will share with parents and educators the
Simple View of Reading, and how it relates to the changing nature of
reading comprehension across grades. The Simple View states that
reading comprehension is composed of word recognition and language
comprehension. Using this model, Dr. Hogan will share implications for
the assessment and treatment of children with special learning needs,
including children with Down syndrome. She will also highlight
techniques for improving both word recognition and comprehension,
which can be used by parents and educators alike.

Restrictions:

Online registration is now closed. Walk in registrations will be accepted at the conference on Saturday, November 6. Registration is from 7:30 - 8 a.m.
